CSA- Community Supported Agriculture
Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) – is an alternative locally-based economic model of agriculture and local food distribution.
Messick’s Farm Market’s CSA members pay, prior to the growing season, for a 26 week share of the upcoming harvest. Once harvest begins, members pick-up weekly shares of vegetables and fruits using a vegetable box system. Selections vary according to which produce items are in season. Our CSA program also includes special offerings as they become available throughout the season, such as canned goods and special seasonings.
Joining our CSA saves you money!
Help us to help you by planning how much produce to plant early in the season. Not only do members receive weekly top-grade produce at a reduced price, but also access to many specials and “first picks” of our crops.
Scheduled Pick Up
Pick up day is members’ choice of Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 12pm – 7pm. Members designate their pick up day in advance. If unable to pick up, you can make arrangements with friends or family to pick up. Boxes are held until Sunday if you are unable to pick up on your designated day. Members return empty boxes weekly. If you are unable to pick up your CSA without notice, it will be donated to a local food bank to help families in need and reduce waste.
